O GARDENIA is distributed in two editions:

  • GARDENIA Desktop Edition
    This edition is recommended for demonstration, tests and small installations. The base code is the same as the enterprice version, but it is packaged as a desktop application (it has an integrated database and web server, and automatically launches the default web browser to access the application). Installation is very simple since it is distributed with an installer. It requires an JRE version 1.4.2 or higher (Java Runtime Enviroment, included in the windows installer).
  • GARDENIA Enterprise Edition
    This edition is the recommended one for production systems. It is a JAVA Web Application (destributed as a .zip file containing install instructions and a WAR -  Web ARchive file), that must be installed on a J2EE compliant java web application server, as JAKARTA-Tomcat or BEA WebLogics. It also requires an relational database (FirebirdSQL). The installation process for this edition is sightly more complex.

JAR installation package for Desktop edition. For all operating systems with an JAVA Runtime Environment (version 1.4.2 or later) installed. After downloading, just "double-click" on the file to install.

GARDENIA Desktop Edition - Windows O.S. (EXE Installer) 0.9.04 LGPL 34Mb

Windows .EXE installation package  for Gardenia Desktop Edition. For MS Windows systems (95,98,2000,XP) without an Java Runtime Environment installed (version 1.4.2 or later). This install package includes the JRE (so, it has a bigger file size). After downloading, just double-click on file to install.
GARDENIA Enterprise Edition - All Systems 0.9.04 LGPL 15Mb

ZIP file containing the installation files and instructions for GARDENIA Enterprise Edition. Requires and J2EE compliant Java Web Application Server (like JAKARTA-Tomcat) and a relational database. After download, unzip this file to a new directory, and read the included README.* files for the installation instructions.

GARDENIA SAFT Export Utility - All Systems 0.9.04LGPL 1Mb
External utility for exporting Gardenia version 0.9.04 data to SAFT XML format.
